UAPF key indices as of July 01, 2020

As of July 1, 2020, pension accumulations in the amount of KZT 11.8 trln were formed on the accounts of the contributors of the Unified Accumulative Pension Fund. From 01.07.2019 to 01.07.2020, the amount increased by almost KZT 1.7 trln, or by 18%.

The main amount of pension accumulations was formed at the expense of compulsory pension contributions (CPC) and amounted to KZT 11.5 trln (growth since the beginning of the year was 9%). The amount of pension accumulations on compulsory occupational pension contributions (COPC) amounted to KZT 279.8 bln (an increase of 14%), the amount of pension accumulations on voluntary pension contributions (VPC) reached KZT 2.1 bln (an increase of 7%).

The number of individual pension saving accounts in the UAPF since the beginning of the year has increased by more than 1 million units. As of January 1 of this year, the number of IPSA was 10,672,567 units, and by July 1 it reached 11.7 million (11,680,886). Thus, the growth since the beginning of the year was 9%.

The largest number of accounts were opened for mandatory pension contributions (OPV) - there are more than eleven million of them, or rather 11,107,952 (an increase of 10% since the beginning of the year). Next, there are accounts formed at the expense of compulsory professional pension contributions (CPPV) - 517 422 (an increase of 1%), the number of voluntary pension contributions (DPV) is also growing, such accounts in the UAPF are now already 55 512 (an increase of 2%)

Since the beginning of 2020, pension contributions in the total amount of KZT 525 bln have been received on contributors' accounts, which exceeded the indicators for the first 6 months of 2019 by KZT 60 billion or 13%. Of the total amount of contributions, 95.4 percent are CPC – KZT 500 bln, almost KZT 24 bln were received for COPC, KZT 216 mln were transferred for VPC.

Benefits amounted to KZT 82.2 bln, most of which, namely 37%, accounted for retirement benefits (KZT 30.2 bln), transfers to insurance organizations (KZT 19.2 bln), for leaving for permanent residence outside the Republic of Kazakhstan (KZT 16.8 bln), heirs (KZT 13.7 bln), for funeral (KZT 1.4 bln), disability (KZT 0.8 bln).

Since the beginning of 2020, as of July 1, more than KZT 543.3 bln of net investment income have been credited to the accounts of UAPF contributors, which is KZT 285.8 bln more compared to the same period last year.
