As of December 1, 2020, pension savings in the amount of KZT 12.7 trillion were formed on the accounts of the contributors of the Unified Accumulative Pension Fund. Since the beginning of this year, i.e. from 01.01.2020 to 01.12.2020, the amount increased by KZT 1.9 trillion, or 18%.
The main amount of pension savings was formed at the expense of compulsory pension contributions (CPC) and amounted to KZT 12.4 trillion (an increase since the beginning of 2020 was 18%). The amount of pension savings on compulsory occupational pension contributions (COPC) amounted to KZT 309.6 billion (an increase of 26%), the amount of pension savings on voluntary pension contributions (VPC) amounted to KZT 2.2 billion (an increase of 11%).
It is important to note that from January 1, 2020, as of December 1, more than KZT 1.13 trillion of net investment income was credited to the accounts of the UAPF contributors, which exceeded amount the same period last year by KZT 531 billion (an increase of 88%).
The number of individual pension saving accounts in the UAPF as of December 1, 2020 amounted to 11.6 million units (an increase from the beginning of the year was 10%). The largest number of accounts was opened for compulsory pension contributions (CPC) - 10,984,130 (11% growth). Next are the accounts formed at the expense of compulsory occupational pension contributions (COPC) - 526,111 (3% growth), the number of voluntary pension contributions (VPC) is gradually growing, there are now 57,211 of them in the UAPF (5% growth).
Since the beginning of 2020, pension contributions in the total amount of KZT 958.8 billion have been received on contributors' accounts, which exceeded the indicators for 11 months of 2019 by KZT 75.8 billion or 9%. Of the total amount of contributions, 95.5% are receipts to the UAPF on CPC – KZT 915.6 billion (an increase of 9%), KZT 42.7 billion (an increase of 9%) was received on COPC, KZT 480 million (an increase of 54%) was listed for VPC.
Benefits amounted to KZT 172.1 billion, most of which, namely 34%, accounted for benefits by age (KZT 57.7 billion), transfers to insurance organizations (KZT 42.9 billion), for leaving for permanent residence outside the Republic of Kazakhstan (KZT 34.1 billion), heirs (KZT 32.01 billion), for burial (KZT 3.96 billion), disability (KZT 1.4 billion).
