Key indicators of UAPF as of October 1, 2022

As of October 1, 2022, pension savings in the amount of KZT14.1 trillion were formed on the accounts of contributors of the Unified Accumulative Pension Fund. Compared to the same date last year, the increase in pension savings exceeded KZT1 trillion (or 7.8%).

97% of the savings of Kazakhstanis formed at the expense of compulsory pension contributions (CPC). As of October 1, KZT13.7 trillion was accumulated on individual pension saving accounts (IPSA) for CPC (an increase over the year amounted to 7.4%). The amount of pension savings on compulsory occupational pension contributions (COPC) amounted to KZT422.4 billion, having increased by almost 21% since October 1 last year. The largest increase - more than 90% per year - was demonstrated by the accumulation of voluntary pension contributions (VPC), which amounted to about KZT3.1 billion.

The amount of pension contributions for the nine months of 2022 amounted to KZT1.2 trillion, which is 29% or almost KZT278.5 billion more than last year. It should be noted that the growth occurred in all types of contributions.

About KZT717 billion was transferred to the accounts of contributors and beneficiaries in the form of net investment income.

The number of individual pension saving accounts in the UAPF as of October 1, 2022 amounted to 12.0 million units, 10.9 million of which are for compulsory pension contributions. The number of accounts for COPC - 584,742 units, 349,277 IPSA are opened for accounting of VPC.

Since the beginning of the year, UAPF has paid about KZT1.1 trillion. Most of the benefits were lump-sum pension benefits (LSPB) for the improvement of housing conditions and treatment - KZT879 billion, which is more than two times less than in the same period last year.

Age benefits increased by 21% and amounted to about KZT87 billion. It should be noted that the amount of the average monthly payment according to the schedule from the UAPF (in connection with reaching retirement age) was KZT29,868, and the maximum amount of a monthly payment was KZT707,326. Recall that for the same period last year, the maximum monthly payment amounted to KZT673,643.

Inheritance benefits were also paid - KZT47.6 billion, pension benefit payments in connection with leaving for permanent residence outside the Republic of Kazakhstan - KZT37.6 billion, disability benefits - KZT1.8 billion, burial payments - KZT4.1 billion. About KZT19.5 billion was transferred to insurance companies.
