From January 1, 2023, pension benefit payments from the UAPF to pensioners who retired after January 1, 2018 were increased by 5%.
From January 1, 2023, the following persons are entitled to pension benefits from the UAPF at the expense of compulsory pension contributions and compulsory occupational pension contributions according to the established schedule:
- women upon reaching the age of 61 (this age limit is valid until 2028 inclusive);
- men upon reaching the age of 63;
- persons with a disability of the first or second group, if the disability is established indefinitely.
Accounting for KZT14.4 trillion on more than 12 million accounts of contributors and beneficiaries, the Unified Accumulative Pension Fund has transferred almost all operations to digital format. About 93% of services are provided to the population online or automatically.
The amount of pension savings of contributors to the Unified Accumulative Pension Fund as of December 1, 2022 amounted to KZT14.4 trillion.
The pension savings of Kazakhstanis as of December 1, 2022 came to more than KZT14.4 trillion. At the same time, since the beginning of the year, this indicator has increased by more than KZT1.3 trillion (or 10.2%).

From January 2021, as of December 1, 2022, the UAPF has executed 1,340,016 applications from contributors (beneficiaries) for the use of pension savings to improve housing conditions. About KZT3.2 trillion was transferred to the special accounts of Kazakhstanis opened in banks-authorized operators. The average amount of lump-sum pension benefits amounted to about KZT2.4 million. However, it should be noted that this figure is different in different regions. For example, residents of the Mangistau region use an average of KZT3.8 million, the North Kazakhstan region - KZT1.2 million.
