At the end of last year 2021, the Unified Accumulative Pension Fund on its corporate website enpf.kz published an updated Corporate Development Strategy for 2022-2026, approved by a decision of the Board of Directors. The previous Corporate Strategy was approved in 2017. It laid down the goals and objectives of the UAPF for the period up to 2021, which were fulfilled. Today in our article we will dwell in more detail on the work done by the Fund over the past five years. Of course, it is impossible to present them in a small note, but we tried to collect highlights of the past years.

From May 1, 2022, unclaimed during the year in Kazakhstan Deposit Guarantee Fund JSC (KDGF) the amount of guaranteed compensation on guaranteed deposits will be transferred by KDGF to individual pension saving accounts (IPSA) to account for voluntary pension contributions (VPC) opened in UAPF in the name of depositors.

UAPF continues to work on improving pension services. This time, the Fund has launched a convenient and timely project Legal Entity Office, which will facilitate and simplify the transfer of employee pension contributions to the employer.

UAPF contributors have the right to use part of their pension savings not only to improve housing conditions and (or) pay for medical treatment, but also to transfer investment portfolio management companies (IPM) to investment management.

UAPF is expanding the range of digital services provided to contributors (beneficiaries). To date, individual pension benefits can be obtained from the UAPF without presenting an identity card. To do this, it is enough to have a digital (electronic) version of the identity card in the eGovMobile mobile application.

As of March 1, 2022, from January 2021, the UAPF has executed 867,853 applications from contributors (beneficiaries) to use pension savings to improve housing conditions. UAPF transferred KZT2.7 trillion to special accounts of Kazakhstanis opened in banks-authorized operators. The average amount of lump-sum pension benefits is KZT3.1 million.
