UAPF JSC informs about the entry into force from 01.01.2021 of the Agreement on Pension Provision of Workers of the Member States of the Eurasian Economic Union dated 20.12.2019, developed by the Eurasian Economic Commission together with the states of the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU).
The Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan On Amendments and Additions to Certain Legislative Acts of the Republic of Kazakhstan on the Recovery of Economic Growth gave citizens the right to use part of their pension savings to improve their living conditions, pay for medical treatment, and also to transfer private management companies to investment management.
According to the Law On Amendments and Additions to Certain Legislative Acts of the Republic of Kazakhstan on the Restoration of Economic Growth, citizens have the right to use part of their pension savings to improve housing conditions and (or) pay for medical treatment that is not included in the guaranteed volume of free medical care and compulsory social medical insurance, as well as for transfer to investment management by private management companies.
The Unified Accumulative Pension Fund has provided over 17.4 million services to its contributors in just 11 months of 2020. Despite the current epidemiological situation and the coronavirus infection (COVID-19) pandemic, causing a number of restrictive measures adopted this year, the number of services rendered increased by 10.9% or 1.7 million units compared to the same period in 2019.
As of December 1, 2020, the Unified Accumulative Pension Fund paid pension benefits to 342 720 recipients. In general, more than 2.1 million pension benefit payments and transfers to insurance organizations were made for a total of KZT 172.1 billion.
As of December 1, 2020, pension savings in the amount of KZT 12.7 trillion were formed on the accounts of the contributors of the Unified Accumulative Pension Fund. Since the beginning of this year, i.e. from 01.01.2020 to 01.12.2020, the amount increased by KZT 1.9 trillion, or 18%.
The Open Day has already become a traditional event for contributors and beneficiaries of the Unified Accumulative Pension Fund. However, due to the coronavirus infection (Covid-19) pandemic, it is now impossible to meet with contributors in person at the Fund's branch offices, so the UAPF staff moved it to the virtual space for the second time this year.
