The Unified Accumulative Pension Fund for 10 months of the current year (from 01.01 to 01.11. 2023) provided its contributors with more than 20 million services, of which about 14.4 million in electronic format, more than 4.7 million in automatic format. Over 1 million transactions were carried out in person, including in the fund’s offices and during field service.
The volume of pension savings of Kazakhstanis as of November 1, 2023 amounted to KZT17.2 trillion. Over the year, it increased by KZT3.1 trillion or 21.7%, and from January to October 2023 - by KZT2.5 trillion or 17.4%.
For 10 months of 2023, the accounts of UAPF contributors received net investment income in the amount of KZT1.23 trillion, which exceeds the same period last year by KZT578.11 billion or 89.3%.
Investment portfolios of pension assets as of November 1, 2023
UAPF JSC presents a report on the management of pension assets by the National Bank of the Republic of Kazakhstan (NBRK) and investment portfolio managers (IPM) as of November 1, 2023 on the website enpf.kz. A detailed report on investing pension savings is posted on the enpf.kz website in the “Indicators - Investment Activity” section. The total volume of pension assets as of November 1, 2023 amounted to about KZT17,209.78 billion. At the same time, the pension assets of the UAPF, which are in trust management of the National Bank of the Republic of Kazakhstan, amounted to KZT17,196.49 billion. Pension assets managed by the pension insurance company amounted to KZT13.29 billion.
By what parameters did Kazakhstan outperform other countries?
In 2023, Kazakhstan's pension system was included for the first time in the international rating - the Global Pension Index of the Mercer CFA Institute (hereinafter - the Index), which is a joint research project of the CFA Institute and the international professional consulting company Mercer Consulting (Australia). According to the analysis and comprehensive assessment, Kazakhstan's pension system ranked 20th in this rating.
As of November 01, 2023, KZT3.7 trillion was transferred to special accounts of Kazakhstanis opened in authorized operator banks, UAPF JSC (hereinafter - UAPF, Fund) for the purpose of purchasing/improving housing and (or) pay for medical treatment in accordance with 1.9 million applications. Let us remind you that contributors (beneficiaries) have the right to use savings an unlimited number of times within the amount of pension savings in the UAPF available for withdrawal for housing, medical treatment or for transfer to trust management of management companies.
For 9 months of the current year (from 01.01. to 01.10.2023), the Unified Accumulative Pension Fund provided 18.8 million services to its investors, of which more than 13 million in electronic format, more than 4 million in automatic format. 973,663 contributors were served, 856,794 people contacted the Fund’s offices directly.

At the same time, pension assets of the UAPF, which are in trust management of the National Bank of the Republic of Kazakhstan, amounted to KZT17,216.9 billion. Pension assets managed by IPM amounted to KZT11.8 billion.
