As of September 1, 2022, from January 2021, the UAPF has executed 1,330,675 applications from contributors (beneficiaries) to use pension savings to improve housing conditions. More than KZT3.1 trillion was transferred to the special accounts of Kazakhstanis opened in banks-authorized operators. The average amount of lump-sum pension benefits amounted to about KZT2.4 million.
According to the Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan On Amendments and Supplements to Certain Legislative Acts of the Republic of Kazakhstan on the Regulation and Development of the Insurance Market and the Securities Market, Banking Activities, a number of amendments are introduced to regulatory legal acts, including from September 12, 2022, Article 60 Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan On pension insurance in the Republic of Kazakhstan (hereinafter - the Law).
Investment activity in the management of pension assets is transparent. The detailed information on the investment of pension assets by the National Bank of the Republic of Kazakhstan (NBRK) and investment portfolio managers, as well as reviews of investment activity, is posted monthly on the enpf.kz site, in the "Indicators - Investment activity" section. At the moment, the information is updated as of August 1, 2022.
As of August 1, 2022, more than 19.8 million services have been provided by the Unified Accumulative Pension Fund to contributors and beneficiaries since the beginning of 2022. Of these, more than 13.8 million transactions were carried out in electronic format, and 4.5 million in automatic mode. Thus, Kazakhstan citizens receive about 93% of pension services remotely.
The amount of accumulated pensions of contributors of the Unified Accumulative Pension Fund as of August 1, 2022 is about KZT13.7 trillion. As you know, this amount includes contributors' pension contributions and investment income.
Key UAPF indicators as of August 1
As of August 1, 2022, pension savings in the amount of KZT13.7 trillion were formed on the accounts of contributors of the Unified Accumulative Pension Fund. Over the year, the amount increased by KZT853.7 billion or 6.7%.
In order to improve the provision of pension services on the UAPF website in the "Personal Account" section - "Legal Entity Account" https://jurcabinet.enpf.kz/auth new features have been added.
In accordance with Articles 31, 32, and 33 of the Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan “On Pension Provision in the Republic of Kazakhstan”, in the event of the death of a person who has pension accumulations of compulsory, compulsory occupational, and voluntary pension contributions, they are all inherited in the manner established by the legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
UAPF has improved the Pension Calculator on its official website and mobile application by adding new features.
The forecast pension calculator is a tool for planning a future pension and allows the user to independently calculate the estimated amount of pension benefits, including pension of:
· State budget funds (basic pension and PAYG (labor) pension);
· 10% of compulsory pension contributions paid from employees' incomes to the UAPF;
· 5% of compulsory occupational pension contributions transferred by the employer to the UAPF in favor of employees employed in jobs with harmful working conditions;
· voluntary pension contributions.
In July of this year, the procedure for transferring unclaimed amounts of guarantee compensation of depositors of Capital Bank Kazakhstan JSC from the Kazakhstan Deposit Guarantee Fund (KDGF) to their individual pension saving accounts (IPSA) was completed to account for voluntary pension contributions (VPC) to the UAPF. Thus, unclaimed amounts of guarantee compensation were transferred to 41,134 depositors of the specified bank.
About 18.4 million services were provided by the Unified Accumulative Pension Fund to its contributors and beneficiaries in the 1st half of 2022. Of these, more than 12.6 million transactions were carried out in electronic format, about 4.4 million - in automatic mode. Thus, Kazakhstanis receive about 93% of pension services remotely, without leaving their home or office.
