UAPF JSC continues to create new digital services for its contributors.
For 6 months of 2024, the net investment income of Kazakhstanis exceeded KZT1.2 trillion, which is 2.1 times more than the same period last year (or KZT638.4 billion), and became almost at the level of contributions made since the beginning of the year, the amount which amounted to KZT1.3 trillion.
The Unified Accumulative Pension Fund provided over 26.3 million services in the period from January 01, 2024 to June 30, 2024. Of the total number, more than 11.4 million services were provided in electronic format, 14.0 million in automatic format, and about 0.33 million in remote format. More than 578 thousand services were provided in person, of which directly in the offices of the Fund about 554 thousand.
As of July 1, 2024, pension savings in individual and notional pension savings accounts of contributors (beneficiaries) of UAPF JSC amounted to about KZT20 trillion. Since the beginning of the year, their increase as of July 1, 2024 amounted to more than KZT2.1 trillion (11.8%). Compared to the same date last year, the volume of pension savings increased by almost KZT3.9 trillion or 24.3%.
UAPF JSC (hereinafter referred to as UAPF) presents a report on the management of pension assets by the National Bank of the Republic of Kazakhstan (hereinafter referred to as NBRK) and investment portfolio managers (hereinafter referred to as IPM) on the website enpf.kz in the section “Indicators - Investment activities”.
The proposals of the group of experts to improve the sustainability and adequacy of the pension system of Kazakhstan aroused great attention and wide discussion.
The experts included well-known economists who were at the origins of the formation of the financial market and the funded pension system in the republic: Grigory Marchenko, Oraz Zhandosov, Bolat Zhamishev, Kadyrzhan Damitov, Anvar Saidenov, Yelena Bakhmutova, with the participation of Gulfairus Shaikakova.
As of July 1, 2024, within the framework of the National Fund for Children program, UAPF JSC executed (transferred to authorized operators for crediting to the bank accounts of applicants) 12,921 applications for a total amount of about 1.3 million US dollars, of which for the purpose of improvement housing conditions, 6,842 applications were executed in the amount of about 686 thousand US dollars, for payment of education - 6,079 applications in the amount of about 610 thousand US dollars. In this case, the recipient of target savings has the right to use both the entire amount due to him and part of it; the remainder of the unused amount remains in the target savings account (TSA).

Net investment income distributed to pension accounts of contributors and beneficiaries for 5 months of 2024 exceeded KZT631.3 bln. This is almost KZT138 bln (or 28%) more than the same period last year.
As of June 1, 2024, pension assets of Kazakhstanis in pension accounts in the UAPF exceeded KZT19.2 trln, having increased over 5 months by almost KZT1.4 trln (or 7.7%). The annual growth of pension savings amounted to more than KZT3.4 trln (or 21.5%).
The regular 27th meeting of the Public Council at UAPF JSC took place, in which representatives of investment portfolio managers (IPM) took part - BCC Invest JSC, Halyk Global Markets JSC, Jusan Invest JSC, Centras Securities JSC, Halyk Finance JSC. As part of the approved agenda, each of them presented their investment strategy, provided reports and answered questions from meeting participants.
A group of Kazakh experts who stood at the origins of the formation of the financial market and funded pension system in the republic Grigory Marchenko, Oraz Zhandossov, Bolat Zhamishev, Kadyrzhan Damitov, Anvar Saidenov, Elena Bakhmutova developed and sent for consideration to the Head of State a number of proposals to improve the financial stability and adequacy of the pension system Kazakhstan.
As of May 1, 2024, about 96.5% of pension assets are formed through the timely transfer of compulsory pension contributions (CPC).
